Club AGM and Ski Swap another success!

This past weekend we held our AGM and Ski Swap at Queneesh Elementary school, and thanks must go to Sue Bloxsome and to all of the others who helped organize this annual kick-off to the season.  We had a solid turnout to the AGM, which went smoothly, and we welcome to the board several new Directors:

* Laura Johnston:  Director of Skill Development Programs
* Andrea Prager:  Director of Membership
* Barb Kelly:  Director of Communications
* Andrew Pape-Salmon:  Director of Recreational Skier Development Programs
* Doug Herchmer:  Director of Coaching Coordination
* Brian “The Man” Vandermale:  Director At Large

Our many thanks and best wishes go out to Val Wootton (Communications), Don Chamberlain (Skill Development Programs) and Karin Koons (Membership), all of whom are moving on after a number of years on the board.  It is the commitment and skill of volunteers such as these who keep our club active
and viable.

We are approaching a busy time as registration begins through Zone 4, coaching courses take place and skiers are checking over their gear for the coming season.  It won’t be long until the occasional dusting turns
into real accumulation and we can get on the snow….

Thanks to everyone who helped make last weekend a real success,

Rob Grantham
