Racing suits
We have an exciting opportunity for our racers, and we need you, racers or the parents of racers, to act on it! The SNSC Board of Directors–in consultation with and in support of our coaching staff–have secured a 3-year sponsorship agreement with Helly Hanson Canada to supply our race suits! Racing suits have always been a tricky issue for ski clubs, and this year we feel that we need to focus on quality and unite as a team in high-quality, matching team racing suits!
In the next couple of days, we need you to do two things:
- Measure yourself or your racer(s) according the sizing chart and the diagram. Please provide a size for top and bottom (they can be different) from the men’s and women’s Body Measurement sections only. Use length (not girth) as the main criteria for sizing, i.e. if waist is size S but leg length is size M, go with size M for the bottoms.
- For children’s sizes, please send the six measurements from the diagram, don’t worry about the sizing chart.

In the fall, you will be asked to pay a portion (less than 50% of the retail price) of the cost of your new racing suit, but you will own the suit! You can wear the suit for years and/or resell it to upcoming racers. The cost will be less than $200 (for a $400 value high-end suit), but we won’t have the exact cost until we place the order and account for the sponsorship and the refund from last year’s Louis Garneau suits. You can still wear last year’s suits for training.
We ask that you support our club in this new racing initiative. We see this as, “one of the most important things we, as a club, can do to help set up our racing programs for longterm success. Our intent is to step up our game to the next level in terms of how we train together, how we race together, and how we achieve results together.”
Helly Hansen needs our numbers and our sizes ASAP in order to have our suits ready for us for December races. Check out the suits in the PDF. It’s going to be good!
Please send in those sizes by the night of Sunday, June 17 to guarantee your suit for the next racing season.
