Help needed to set up the course. The work consists of setting up signs and v-boards to define the race course before the race and helping with the clean up at the end of the day. Since most of the work takes place before and after the race you will be able to watch the races.

Please remember that we share Mount Washington’s Raven Lodge with other mountain guests and share these tips with your children:
▪ To refill your water bottles, use the water fountain at the bottom of the stairs in the Raven Lodge, not the water jugs in the cafeteria.
▪ Before you go out to ski, remove your bags, coats, shoes, and boots from the tables and chairs, and place them neatly at the side of the room.
▪ Keep the doorway next to the fireplace and all doorways clear. These are fire exits.

BC Cup 1
Congratulations to our adventurous racers and support crew who braved freezing rain and bitter cold to race in the BC Cup 1 races in Prince George last weekend. There were very solid performances from all team members. Coaches noticed an increasing depth of performance from the whole team!
In the Saturday Sprints, an exciting race where anything can happen and tactics are key,
our club saw great results from all racers. Highlights include: Avalon Wasteneys – 1st, Tallon Noble had fastest qualifier but broken pole in A final to finish 4th, Ross Lamon – 3rd, Stephen Lamon – 2nd, Matthew Salmon had very solid sprint performance, showing constant improvement, and Lynn Swift – 3rd in masters distance race.
In Sunday’s distance race, which was a challenging course, with a long uphill climb and fast, exciting downhills, our club saw more great results from all. Highlights here include: Avalon Wasteneys – 3rd, Tallon Noble – 1st, Connor McGrady – 4th, Ross Lamon – 4th, Aiden Noble – 3rd, and Stephen Lamon – 4th.
Coach Andrea says she is super happy with the whole team who handled tough weather conditions really well and are on target for continued improvement.
The team looks forward looking to BC Cup 2 in Revelstoke in three weeks and the Western Canadian Championships for Avalon and Tallon in Canmore in two weeks! Go team!!
The lucky winner of the raffle basket is Ingrid van Kesteren, an occupational therapist at Campbell River Hospital.

Devo coach, Berend Henckel, decided to give his co-workers at Campbell River Hospital a special Christmas card. Instead of giving them a traditional Christmas card, he gave his colleagues a raffle ticket for a basket of ski goodies.
Berend says Ingrid was very excited to receive the basket, and he wouldn’t be surprised if Ingrid became a member of our club.
Thanks to the Master Racers and Ski Tak Hut for the generous donations to the raffle basket!
