Coach Appreciation Luncheon
A lunch invitation for our wonderful club coaches!
We have incredible coaches helping children in the Rick Morson Ski School program, in the Skill Development Program, in our devos, junior and masters racing programs and in the masters recreation ski program. The SNSC Board is hosting a coach appreciation lunch at VIMSS to acknowledge your commitment and your positive energy in supporting ski development.
Lantern Ski
Come join us for a Lantern Ski beginning at the Raven Lodge at Mt Washington on Saturday January 20 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. This is a fun family-themed cross country ski event open to all Mount Washington guests where you ski a short loop, in the dark, following lanterns set on the side of the ski trails. Skiers are encouraged to dress up for the event - maybe even including lights! Enjoy hot chocolate by the Raven Lodge!
There is a $5.00 registration fee required for those who require a trail pass. Season-pass holders join for free. All participants should wear a headlamp as the lanterns may not provide enough light to see the ski trails clearly.
Please note that only the Raven Lodge lower level will be open for this event for washrooms and rental equipment.

Tour de Strathcona
The Tour de Strathcona has been rescheduled for April 2 or 3 due to inclement weather forecasted for this weekend.
The Tour de Strathcona includes all trails that have been trackset recently or that day (approximate distance=50k)
This event is completely self supported. Participants often start by 8-8:30 to take advantage of better snow conditions.
The suggested routes will be sent out closer to the time, based on trails that are open.
Tour De Strathcona Traditional Route
Loop One - VIMC to Lake Approach to Lake Trail, to Lake Approach to Paradise Meadows trail to Far East, back to Paradise Meadows trail and back to the lodge.
Loop Two - VIMC to Jutland to the Grind to Legacy to Marmot, around Marmot Flats, back down the Grind to Ravens Revenge, small sidecut up and down the Raven connector, and finish Ravens Revenge back to VIMC.
Loop Three - West Passage to the Hawk Chair, ride Hawk Chair up, go down Upper West Meadows, then down Lower West Meadows, and back to VIMC.
The traditional TdS route does not include Disco Road or the World Cup and Sprint trails. Those can be added in based on grooming and energy levels
